The Grain Cafe

Don't judge a book by its cover. It may be in a strip mall, but there is a ton of space and the decor is welcoming. They have a very extensive menu ranging from breakfast items to salads to crepes to Mexican food. All of the food is vegan, but it's definitely a place where you can take non vegans and they'll still be satisfied. The service was very friendly. Portions were substantial and the food was above average. The potatoes had a sort of frozen taste and the tortillas for the tacos were straight from the bag (not even warmed at the least), which was surprising considering the rest of the food was great. I will eat here again and recommend it!

Tasty hot sauce, healthy late night dinner. Quick and easy - what more can you ask for?!

This restaurant is my favorite. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very welcoming and the cuisine they offer is so fresh and tasty. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

I loved the food and all of the little vegan references here. The imitation chicken had an amazing texture and I loved that they had a dish where I could build my own plate. It’s in a slightly funky part of town but it’s worth heading to if you want some good vegan food made fast that’s not too expensive.

This is easily one of the best vegan restaurants in the country. I've enjoyed vegan food in Seattle, Austin, and many other places... This place stands out as one of the best overall. The menu is quite varied and the portions are large. We ordered 3 entrees and they were all delicious. We tried the chicken crepe (and added spinach), the breakfast burrito, and the chicken quesadilla. Everything had so much flavor and was so filling. The menu is Mexican/Mayan themed but they also have pizza, sandwiches, crepes and quite a bit more. If you're a vegan in L.A. this is a must stop.

Really good taste, I definitely recommend this place for people that is changing their habit to eat and trying to go healthy in food!!People in here are really nice and service was awesome.

Went for hot chocolate and a tropical crepe. Crepe was good but so far nothing beats the french crepe at the groove. Hot chocolate was good not that sweet. Got a piece of the green tea cake..i was expecting something better. Anyhow planning on coming back to try the breakfast. Nice place to be on the hood.

We went to this cafe on a Friday morning. Parking was easy to find. The staff is friendly. The menu offers quite a few breakfast options. We ordered pancakes and crepes. While is food is extremely filing, the taste could have been better. It’s a good vegan option in LA.

Perhaps an acquired taste. A beautiful plate of vegetables and grain. I’be been going down the menu every time I stop in.

Food was excellent. Nice ambience and good service. We ordered veg burger. Pizza and omelette. All were extremely delicious. They also have a great selection of vegan cakes that are hard to find.

I love this place for Sunday morning breakfast/brunch, I always get the plate with pancakes and tofu with the vegan sausage it's so good! The reason I deducted a star is because the pancakes and the syrup have a strange taste, I think they make it whole wheat or gluten free but it just doesn't really taste like a pancake and the syrup doesn't really taste like syrup--its far too sweet and has a strange aftertaste. Other than that, I love everything here, they have great wraps, specials, and the cappuccinos are good but I would recommend asking for soy because the almond milk they use always separates.

This is a hidden gem not too far off from koreatown! I go here continually as a challenge to try everything in their menu and so far I haven’t been disappointed. Try out their chilaquiles you won’t regret it!Their wet burrito is filling and flavorful And if your a fan of power drinks their smoothies are incredible. Finish your day with their good selection of pastries to have you leaving with a smile.

I got to eat crēpes! Vegan crèpes are not easy to pull off. These were delicious. My boyfriend got the chilaquiles. Completely delicious and satisfying , and the house-made hot sauce was actually almost hot enough for me (so a little too spicy for him). And what a pleasure it always is to have the whole menu vegan.

This is my favorite restaurant in Redondo beach! I have many dietary restrictions and I never feel restricted when I eat here. Today our waiter was Justin and he was extremely accommodating when I asked about the ingredients in many items on the menu and he was super nice too! Everything on the menu is delicious!!

I ordered a “chicken” crepe and my boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito. This breakfast was very delicious and flavorful! The customer service was great! The setting and music was overall an authentic experience. (They have a great playlist) the proportion of the food was good it filled me up. Overall I would come here again.

An amazing find! A great array of organic and vegan food that I can't wait to come and try again. I had the Tuna melt and it was full of flavor and more delicious vinaigrette dressing was perfect 👌

I got the torta with chorizo and it was really tasty. Waitress was nice and though the place is on the smaller side it has a great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and try all the crepes they have!

This is a place that has all the best Mexican vegan food in one place. They even had the Mexican Idol Vincent playing in the background. I wasn't that hungry so I didn't buy the burrito the machaca or el pozole, but I will next time.

Love that everything is vegan and breakfast is served all day. I ordered the waffle deluxe and asked for melted cheese on the tofu scramble and Pico de Gallo to add to it. The sausage and the tofu scramble were delicious but the waffles weren’t that good. I think they were gluten free because the color looked different and the texture was off. They were very soft and not crispy on the outside. They didn’t hold together too well and felt cakey and almost dry in my mouth.

My favorite side for Sandwiches, Vegan and Vegetarian foods. Most of the foods here are short meal items. So many people come here to get their favorite food. Some of their famous items are Club Sandwich, Wet Burrito, Deluxe Burger and Mole Burrito.

Great vegan food. The chilaquiles were very tasty and filling. There's great hot sauce to pour on top. Worth a drive in LA.

Came on to the restaurant was greeted kindly and sat on our table right away. We ordered our food it was delicious. The waiters were kind and courteous. The have a very tasty hot sauce, which I personally love. Their decor is lovely and they have a spotless clean restroom which is a plus for me.

The Grain Cafe is excellent. The items we ordered were fresh and great tasting. I want to try more items ok n the menu, and hope to return soon. The servers were welcoming and attentive. Great atmosphere and place to relax and enjoy vegan eats.

The food is interestingly good (and healthy), and the service is excellent. But no matter what, I always have the deepest conversations here. For a drink, I suggest their Cafè latte.

So good! Love all the vegan options. The field roast dogs are the best I have had & tater tots are the perfect side. Can't wait to go back!

Regardless of which one you choose, I am confident you will enjoy it. Service was friendly and attentive, I can't complain.

Great variety in general, though I wish there were more soy-free options. The desserts are stunning!

Very delicious though over-priced. I felt welcomed in the restaurant and will definitely come back for more. The low lighting gave me an enjoyable experience.
